Indian cook

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and skilled Indian Cook to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of Indian dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards. They will also be responsible for ensuring that the kitchen is clean and well-maintained, and for managing inventory and supplies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes, including curries, tandoori items, and biryanis, in accordance with established recipes and standards.

• Ensure that all dishes are prepared and served at the correct temperature and in a timely manner.

• Monitor and maintain quality control for all food items, including ensuring that the correct portion sizes are served.

• Manage inventory and supplies, including ordering ingredients and ensuring that stock levels are adequate.

• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including ensuring that all equipment is clean and well-maintained.

• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations and guidelines.

• Develop and update menu items in accordance with customer preferences and feedback.

• Train and supervise kitchen staff, including delegating tasks and providing guidance and feedback.

• Participate in menu planning and costing, and provide input on new menu items.

• Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Indian Cook, with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.

• In-depth knowledge of Indian cuisine, including regional variations and traditional cooking techniques.

• Ability to prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes from scratch.

• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations and guidelines.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, if required.
